A Misty Road Trip
Today’s travels: a 5 hour road trip from Mount Gambier to Adelaide with my dear nephew/tour assistant Dominic and our great driver Shane. I loved seeing the South Australian countryside again, looking out at the big everchanging sky, the morning fog and rain turning into sunshine, flashes of blue and billowing clouds. We had stops at the stunning Coonalpyn silos to see the murals; the town of Keith for pasties and a copy of this month’s Australian Women’s Weekly (my article about my godmother is in it!) and then a final break at Tailem Bend, looking out over the mighty Murray River.
We’ll be back in that direction tomorrow for my 2pm talk at the Murray Bridge Library, then on to my hometown of Clare for my Town Hall talk tomorrow night. See you all soon!
