A Day In Kerang
I’m back home in Castlemaine after a whistlestop 24 hours in the regional Victorian town of Kerang meeting many booklovers and readers. My big thanks to Amanda of The Little Blue Book Shop for her warm welcome and for hosting my talk last night about my first children’s book Marcie Gill and the Caravan Park Cat and my most recent novel The Godmothers (and big thanks to Cindy of Collins Booksellers Echuca for her mercy dash with Marcie copies). It was such a fun night, many thanks to everyone who came along.
This morning we called into the striking Sir John Gorton Library in Kerang, part of the Gannawarra Library Service. Thanks so much to Mesh, Tammi, Sue and Di for their warm welcome too. I signed many of their library copies of my books, then we posed for a photo looking like a quintet of masked book bandits! Home via a flying visit to the nearby Kerang Lakes and ibis rookery at Middle Reedy Lake (the largest rookery in the Southern Hemisphere.)
